Day 19 ~ FINDING MORNING SUNSHINE: You Are LIFE Ritual   Leave a comment

You are not separate from the whole.
You are one with the sun, the earth, the air.
You don’t have a life. You are life.
~ Eckhart Tolle ~

Photo and Quote found at Soulful Nature on Facebook

This quote reminds me of a Ritual I once did that I had adapted from a book I was learning from and using another book — a child’s picture book with words — as the envisions of the Meditation that went along with the ritual.  I do not remember the name of the children’s book, but the ritual, I do recall some of the basics of it.

Close your eyes.

Imagine yourself on the Earth.

Imagine that you are being pulled out of the Earth and into the sky.

Envision all that you see below you on the Earth that you are part of as a whole.

See yourself going around the Earth like the Sun in a circular motion.

Imagine yourself being that World, the Earth, below you.

Feel your ‘self’ come alive as the tiniest creatures like Ants tread upon you.

Feel yourself as the piece of wood being used to build a house.

See yourself as the highway cars drive on.

See yourself as the Mountains being rained on.

Be that Volcano that fire erupts out of.

Be that wave that washes fiercefully over the breakwall.

Believe you are the Sun in the sky shining brightly.

Believe you are the Air that others breathe from.

Know that you are connected with all that breathes, walks, sees, listens, hears, tastes.

Know that you are like others that are feeling the same way that you are.

Imagine you are a part of the whole in connection with one another.

Imagine the others and you all holding hands around the Earth in the sky as One.

You are the World.

You are the Universe.

You are the Stars and Sun and Sky and everything contained around it

as well as the Trees and Rocks and Caves and Burrows within it.

You are Earth.

You are what gives Life its meaning.

You are LIFE.

You should come out of this Ritual feeling tingly and need to ground yourself and center.  Drain any excess energies back into the Earth physically and eat something and go for a walk and continue on with your normal every day excursions.
